Served as an election judge in Butte for the past 15+ years
Extensive experience in State government, working as an advocate for non-profit, non-partisan organizations
I am highly motivated to ensure that all public records are retained, archived, and accessible to the public.
Born in Louisiana, Rachel moved with her family to Butte when she was in the 3rd grade. She attended Hawthorne Elementary, East Junior High, Butte High, and Montana Tech. She loves Butte, its people and its places. She plays violin in the Butte Symphony Orchestra, something she has done since she was in high school and has been active in the community. Rachel enjoys cooking with her husband and singing the National Anthem for Veteran events and Naturalization ceremonies. Rachel also enjoys spoiling her three cats!
...ensure that all public records are retained, archived, and made accessible to the public in accordance with all laws and regulations.
...continue to uphold and protect public trust through extraordinary public service.
...value the responsibility of ensuring each citizen the opportunity to exercise their right to vote.
As an elected official, I would be grateful to serve the citizens of Butte-Silver Bow County. I’m thankful for our election process and would look forward to serving as Chief Election Officer. When I was young, my daddy, an Army Veteran, instilled the importance and privilege of voting rights in this great nation. Therefore, I would welcome the chance to speak with High School students to have a High School Voter Education Day. I will participate in community events to set up voter registration drives. I will speak to organizations about the role of serving as an election judge. It’s been an honor to serve as an election judge in Butte for the past 16 years. The opportunity to serve in this capacity has provided insight and respect for the efficient services provided by the Clerk and Recorders office. The mining city is enriched with wonderful history and the office of Clerk and Recorder is part of preserving history. As expected from the citizens of Butte, Ramsey, Rocker, Divide, and Melrose, I would continue to uphold and protect public trust through extraordinary public service.
State law limits contributions from any individual to $450.00 per election. MCA(13-37-216 (5)
